Reeling For a Great Cause

Registration is still open for the 2012 Reeling for Kids annual fishing tournament in Steinhatchee this weekend! Event proceeds benefit the Alachua County Boys & Girls Clubs. If you're a fisherman, what better way to spend the weekend than out on the open water supporting a great cause?! The cost is $275 inshore; $375 offshore. The word "carnation" is believed to have originated from the words "coronation" or the Greek "corone," as it was commonly used to festoon Greek ceremonial crowns. The meanings behind carnations include fascination and devoted love.

They come in a lovely variety of colors including pastels, vibrant shades and even very deep hues, such as eggplant purple and crimson red. Carnations are especially pretty when arranged close together as a round "kissing ball" to be displayed at weddings or special events.
